Cleaning Cast Iron After Cooking

Cleaning Cast Iron After Cooking
For optimal performance, clean the cookware promptly with hot water after use. If food is stuck, use a mild non-abrasive brush or scrubber.
• Mild dishwashing liquid can be used occasionally.
• If rust or sticky residue forms, scrub with a steel scrubber and re-season the cookware.
• After cleaning, always apply a light coat of cooking oil to prevent rust and protect the surface.

Seasoning Cast Iron
Ferro cookware comes pre-seasoned for your convenience. However, we recommend cleaning and re-seasoning before the first use to ensure the best performance. After washing, wipe the cookware dry and store it with a light coating of vegetable oil to avoid rust.
